Parts for Y-1661 The hull was rebred, but all the parts have been salvaged.  Sails, mast boom, blocks chainplates, even the ribs and backbone.  Click here for full details.  Contact Mike Davis for more information.

SAILS — OLDER

I have old but good condition Y-Flyer sails taking up space in my basement. The sails are probably close to thirty years old. They have been kept dry and in sail bags. The boats to which they belong are no longer in existence (to the best of my knowledge). They would make great spare or emergency sails.

Y-592: mainsail and jib manufactured by the Boston Yacht Sail Co., Mt. Clemens, MI

Jib of unknown origin.

I am asking $100 or best offer for the set from Y-592 and $35 for the single jib.

Miscellaneous for Sale

Virtually new Y-Flyer aluminum mast and mahogany boom.  Both are fully rigged.  Make an offer.

Also trailer in need of new wheels and padding.  Other than the wheels, the trailer is a 6 on a scale from one to 10.

Also Y-Flyer hull.  Needs new mahogany rudder.  All stainless steel fittings.  The hull has been fiber-glassed.  The glass is bad.

A set of sails in good condition.

Give me a fair price for the aluminum mast, boom, sails and trailer and I'll give you the hull for free.  Put a 100-hours into the hull, build a mahogany rudder and be on the water by spring.  Best Y-Flyer deal in the country.

For Dayton, Ohio area Y-Flyer Sailors.  Strip the hull and make it ready for that new epoxy finish process (I have power tools to remove fiber glass); buy new wheels for the trailer; help me do some sand blasting and paint work on the trailer; acquire rudder plans and mahogany for rudder construction and I'll give you half ownership in the boat.  I'll pay for and apply epoxy finish.  I own a complete wood working shop.  We can build the rudder together.  Dayton area partner must furnish work area for hull.   A single car garage will do nicely
